Amazing!!

I’ve been in a slump trying to find something that keeps my interest and satisfies my romantasy obsession after finishing everything SJM and this hit the spot. Highly recommend and eagerly awaiting the next book!!!

Has it All!

I loved this book. It has everything, great world building, spice, solid flawed characters, and worthy villains. so much fun!

Slow start but picks up into something great

Keep going if you feel it’s going slow! I promise it will be worth it. I’m pretty good at catching the twists before they happen and this one had me all the way til the end. Highly recommend.

Intriguing story

Loved this book from
Beginning to end. So much discovery and growth. Magic, betrayal, lust, and so much more.

Not what I expected and liked it more for that reason

First off the narrator did a fantastic job. I’m glad I got the audio since there was a little section that was slow early on that may have made me put it down. Thankfully that didn’t happen. The story was full of twists that I wasn’t expecting and some that were hinted at. Let’s just say the love interest isn’t what it appears to be and book two will be a fun read.

A really good story

Secrets, lovers, hidden magic, and more. Struggles with addiction and having support to overcome them was unique part of this story. This was a fun story. Looking forward to continuing with the next book in the series.

I love the Banter!!

This is a great book. I purchased this because I had 2-12 hour drives I needed to fill or at least rotate with another book. This book did NOT disappoint.
The main character was hard to like at first and you really start to think she’s crazy, but it ALL starts to make sense and the pieces start falling together wonderfully. I can’t wait until July 9th… I need book 2 sooner! <3

Great story took awhile sometimes

Loved it. Did draw out at times but still a very good book. Great story line and I hope the second book has more action and develops the plot more. The second half is best.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Despite an initially slow and intricate start in its world-building, and a moment where the introduction of gruesome murders almost deterred me, I am delighted that I persisted. These elements, while initially concerning, did not dominate the narrative and did not detract from its overall appeal. The book proved to be a rewarding experience, compelling me to eagerly anticipate the forthcoming installment and solidifying my admiration for the author.

I really loved this!!

I’m a sucker for any good romantasy adventure, especially with a Viking twist. But this story blew my expectations out of the water! Beautifully written with rich world building that was easy to follow, I just couldn’t stop listening! I know some people may hate on the FMC, but I thought it was refreshing to have a female lead who isn’t a snarky, sarcastic trained killer. Silla is kind and generous and a survivor, which I believe is a different kind of strength. I can’t believe I have to wait for the next book, I wish I could start it right away!
