Mark Tonnick is a cynical, world-weary, self-employed private detective. But the work has dried up, and he finds himself at the end of his financial rope until unexpectedly, he’s recruited to solve a case with a big payday. He soon discovers the item he’s hired to retrieve is an object with a legacy of death and destruction. Also, as a condition of his employment, he must partner with Delinda Djinn, a beautiful young woman who is far more than she seems.
Soon, Tonnick is up to his neck in magic, immortal beings, mayhem, and murder. While he doesn’t want to believe in any of it, the increasing body count convinces him that something serious is going down. On top of it, he’s falling in love with a woman who thinks she’s a genie.

Unexpectedly good… Really enjoyed this book - enough that I ordered the next one!
Nicely Done… I enjoyed it from cover to end. Surprisingly a good story and character development.
Great Book… I was pleasantly surprised by how well this book is written and how much fun it was.
Enjoyed it… I really loved this book. It has drama, comedy, fantasy, and plenty of twists and turns. I really enjoy the PI Tonnick and his sense of humor. It’s an easy read and hard to put down.
