The Sacrifice: Living a Meaningful Life is book six in the Living a Meaningful Life series. In order to best understand the storylines, backstories, and full context, it is recommended that you first listen to books one through five.
Living a Meaningful Life is a series for adults and teens of all ages. Each audiobook examines the challenges involved in facing the harsh realities of life and rising above them despite setbacks, mistakes, losses, and other negative circumstances. The series is neutral on religion and politics.
In this very emotional, inspiring, and touching installment of the series, the main character and his family must make huge sacrifices for the benefit of the community they love and swore to support. Huge sacrifices made can result in huge blessings given. There are some tears in this one, but also plenty of laughs and priceless banter between the characters you have come to know and love.
The Sacrifice will stir within you deep emotions and leave you contemplating your own life choices and possibilities. When we have the courage and discipline to do the right things for the right reasons, we are richly rewarded in ways that we cannot even imagine.

This series is easy to fall into!
What I love about author Brian Hunter is his unwavering ability to craft wholesome, relatable, and inspiring stories. Over the course of six books, as the reader I’ve deeply fallen for his characters, their circumstances, and their commitments to doing the right thing.
As each story picks up where the last left off, we encounter more life experiences, more responsibilities, and more binding us to the page. In this sixth installment our narrator’s first love, Clarissa, returns more prominently. As she entangles in Rudy and his father’s lives, we become enamored with the happiness radiating off the page. That is until loss and another life changing phone call present themselves once again.
“The Sacrifice” introduces forces beyond our control as our narrator embattles yet more hard decisions. Leaving behind the life he’s come to love for the responsibilities he didn’t seek. Living a life his mentors can be proud of, even if it means leaving behind all he’s come to love. While Hunter introduces a monumental sacrifice in this aptly named read, it’s the way his characters handle it all that truly inspires us.
Teaching readers once again the importance of living a meaningful life, Hunter uses his storytelling, character’s lives, and unique style of writing to invite readers directly into the world he has crafted within.
