If you are an A. E. Via fan - you will enjoy this book - I love her style - troubled real characters that we are able to travel through their journey to HEA!!! Oh yeah and along the way - nice steamy parts!!

Compelling

Strong character development between Jacob and Wilde. The beginning with Jacob’s life was strong which made the book flow well into the other chapters. Wilde’s character was so well rounded and works perfectly. Wilde’s family was a great addition and they also brought comedic relief. So many great moments in this book. The narrator was also excellent and brought variety. I definitely recommend this.

What a wonderful story. I loved all of this writers books, and read a lot of them. Very recommended !!

Captivating story

The book takes you along with the story. The narration is skilfully done and it felt like I could see the characters, visualise the world created around the story and experience the feelings that the characters felt. A beautiful story about seeing beyond what’s on face value.

Loved this couple.

They took the long road to get together but it was certainly worth it. Hott scenes, smoking.

RYFS!?!?!?!!!!!

Okay “enemies to lovers” is a favorite of mine, and this Book delivers. The enemies part of the story isn’t volatile or intense but god their relationship is so good!!

Good slow HEA

The beginning chapters did have me intrigued but unsure feeling at first. (agreed cringe on the narration in that one chapter). But I soon was invested with hope on how the HEA of these two characters would manifest. A romcom/made for TV feel that you sometimes just need. I'd like to know how they are now. Enjoyed. Worth the read*listen.

Amazing backstory!

I don't think I have read a better written backstory for years!
A history of one of the main characters that actually demonstrates what built his character, what shaped his personality. It was hard and painful, and real and relatable for that reason.
Something he said towards the end of the book was an exact summary of what I think we can learn from it - "loving X has made me the man I was meant to be".

I loved this story so much, it was beautiful and heartwarming and I am definitely going to read all the rest of the books A.E.Via has to offer!
