If you're not reading the same bible as the first Christians in AD 144 you're reading just another book. The first Christian bible is not only the foundation of faith that virtually every denomination traces its canonical roots back to - it's also the only place you'll find the gospel preached by Paul the Apostle that he specifically references numerous times: "But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ." (Galatians 1:8-9). In addition to the Gospel of the Lord you'll also listen to their original, unedited form Galatians, 1st and 2nd Corinthians, Romans, 1st and 2nd Thessalonians, Laodiceans, Colossians, Philemon, and Philippians. That is the entirety of the first Christian bible as it was gathered and transcribed in AD 144 and as it is now.
Numbered sections and verses in standard bible format. The Very First Bible also acts as a cryptographic key, allowing us to see which scriptures were edited and added as it ballooned from one gospel and 10 books into 73 books and four gospels over time. For the first time you will listen to the first Christian bible exactly as it was transcribed in AD 144 and one of the first things you'll notice is that it doesn't contain the Torah* (Old Testament). You will listen to the original Gospel of the Lord that was preached by the Apostle Paul and scriptures reveal God through Jesus, as it happened. The original prologues for each epistle are also included.

This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... The Septuagint (or "LXX" ) is the Greek version of the Old Testament. It is a translation of the Hebrew Old Testament and certain Apocryphal books, which was written in the late third century BC by the order of Ptolemy II Philadelphus, the king of Ptolemaic Egypt (283 BC to 246 BC). Alexander the Great had spread Greek influence and language throughout "the known world" and the Jews of the area were losing their Jewish roots and tongue. This Greek translation was created for use by the Alexandrian Jews who were fluent in Koine Greek, but were no longer fluent in Hebrew.

The Septuagint (or "LXX" ) is the Greek version of the Old Testament. It is a translation of the Hebrew Old Testament and certain Apocryphal books, which was written in the late third century BC by the order of Ptolemy II Philadelphus, the king of Ptolemaic Egypt (283 BC to 246 BC). Alexander the Great had spread Greek influence and language throughout "the known world" and the Jews of the area were losing their Jewish roots and tongue. This Greek translation was created for use by the Alexandrian Jews who were fluent in Koine Greek, but were no longer fluent in Hebrew.

The Apocrypha ("hidden things") are contemporaneous with the Old Testament, but were not officially accepted as part of the Bible when the Hebrew "canon" was set. They did, however, form part of the Greek Scriptures and came into English Bibles by that route. The writings of the Apocrypha run the whole gamut of literary genres: histories, romances, devotional works, proverbs, and sermons. Many complement parts of the Old Testament, and listeners will recognize some familiar Biblical characters in the narratives, such as Daniel and Esther.

Amazing…simply Amazing

Missing Audible pages for 238-251
I purchased both the Audible & Kindle versions back to back, but the Audible version is missing last 14 pages of the book. I first purchased the Kindle version which immediately asked if I wanted to purchase the matching Audible for about $7 more, so I did. They are not the same. Disappointed. All other Audible books I’ve purchased are wonderful.
