Iceland, 2017: when a young Italian tourist is found brutally murdered at a sacred church in northern Iceland, Magnus Jonson, newly returned to the Reykjavík police force, is called in to investigate. I enjoy these books. Some of the
pleasure is geographical. some is archaeological. Then there is murder, of course. and character development. The Narrator has the perfect voice for the lead. It would be easier for me if the people walking through these pages had American names like John, James, Carol.... I struggle with hearing Icelandic names and remembering who each goes with. But, if you soldier on with the crisp, intelligent mystery you will find this a worthwhile use of your credits.

I enjoyed it. Well developed. Intelligent. I figured out the killer, but stayed for the reveal because it was a fun read.
