Resumen del Editor

The Russian Revolution was as red as blood. The Bolsheviks promised that they were building a new society, a workers’ paradise that would change the nature of mankind itself. What they ended up constructing was the largest prison the world had ever seen: a Union of Soviet Socialist Republics that spanned half the globe.

It was a country where people's lives meant nothing, less than nothing—and they knew it. But no matter what atrocity that the Soviets committed—the secret police, the torture chambers, the show trials, the labor camps, and the mass starvation—there was always someone in the West rushing to justify their bloodshed. For decades, it seemed perfectly obvious that the USSR wasn’t going anywhere—until it vanished from the face of the earth, gradually, and then suddenly. This is the story of the rise and fall of that evil empire, and why it is so important for the good to never give up hope. This is The White Pill.

Horrible Editing of Audio Recording

Whoever edited this used a “strip silence” tool with the threshold way too high. Then they shuffled it all together and sped it up.

The editor of this book should consider a vacation to Siberia.

If you listen to this, listen on .9 speed and try to give MM the benefit of the doubt. His audio editor has done this book a grave disservice.

Just finished my second listen. I’ve been waiting for this book for years. I can not recommend the writing or the message highly enough.

Michael Malice’s books are always worth reading.

Having said that, I came here to complain about this audiobook. Mr. Malice should really hire someone to read his books. I know there’s tons of amateurs out there who would love a chance to get an audiobook credit for a reasonable fee. I typically speed books up because I want to be able to read them faster. With this book, I had to slow it down because his diction is so poor, and he reads so fast that I can’t understand what he’s saying, and I lose the thread. He’s also very monotone. It’s almost as if he can barely tolerate doing the audiobook and just wants it to get over with as quickly as possible. I mean, he could at least pretend that he’s talking to a friend across the table, instead of like he’s embarrassed to be up at the front of the class giving a report that he’s reading as quickly as he can so he can go sit down at his desk. I like Michael Malice and I like his podcast and his work. I always enjoy his point of view, and I know the content of this book is very valuable. I just wish he wouldn’t read it himself.

love this book!

Very well written book and vital information! My only criticism is the rushed narration. I slowed it down to .80 speed and it's actually pleasant to listen to.

Official M3is3D.com review

One of the greatest works ever composed on the history of the sovietunion. I am literally an anarchist who runs a 3-D printing company, trades crypto professionally, and listens to Rush every day. I’m probably really predisposed to like Michael malice, but I don’t care. This was excellent, and Michael is very fair with people who don’t share his set of ideas, which is exactly how we should be if we’re interested in persuading people.

Michael is now 3 for 3 as an author.

This is a very compelling and well executed book about the evils of totalitarian collectivist doctrine and it's inhuman consequences. Michael Malice manages to subtly subdue his Loki like personal characteristics in order to handle this gravely serious subject while still exercising wit and his mischievous sense of humor. it is no small feat to make such a somber subject entertaining, but still make the reader, or listener in this case, aware of the gravitus and tragedy of the whole affair. The white pill is a roller coaster of the depths of human incompetence, depravity and a paradoxical beacon of hope.

Couldn't put it down.

Great listen. It's a great lesson in history for those who never learned it and for those of us who might have forgotten some of it.

Should Be Taught in Schools

I graduated in 2000 and we were supposedly taught about these events but not near to the extent that this book covers.

Powerful message

Insightful and well written. Strong message that at times can only make you cry. With a profound feeling of gratitude for what I have, and a feeling that the fight is far from over!

Fascinating story. Nearly unlistenable

Really incredible story. But there is zero air in the narration. As in, I don’t know how Mr. Malice ever took a breath. This is dense, dense information about Russian history. It’s not the easiest thing to absorb. And it’s read at a breakneck pace. I’m listening at .8 speed. That slows the words to an uncomfortable pace, but can’t fix the zero pause between sentences.

Come learn what schools have failed to teach

MM story of rise and fall of the USSR offers hope to those that believe in the cause of liberty. Told with his signature wit and optimism it is engrossing and terrifying as he tells the story of those that lived through the horrors of this era. If you are a fan of MM’s previous work this is not to be missed.
