He desires to provide her with help in the form of counseling and spiritual direction, but finds that the lines between help and his personal feelings are beginning to get blurred. As his long-term mission in life is coming into question, he worries about creating a big crisis with faith and purpose.

Wren wants to open her next chapter in life, but doesn’t expect that to include a relationship. She adores all the amazing and unique community members of Barco Bay. Her attraction to Zane is instantaneous, but it is evident he is not interested in her. She has tried to leave Zane to his own devices until the moment a crisis occurs in town and he can no longer ignore her.
