Resumen del Editor

Myla Lewis has married Prince Lincoln, and now they’re expecting! All the after-realms rejoice. Myla should be happy too, but she has a serious problem. The day after their honeymoon ended, Myla’s real husband disappeared.

The man who’s sharing her bed is an imposter.

Myla tries explaining about “Evil Lincoln”, but no one will listen. The reason? People think that Myla’s supernatural pregnancy is making her cray cray. Mostly because that’s what Evil Lincoln is telling everyone, and that man’s a great liar. What a creep.

There’s no way Myla will take this lying down, though. She’s going to rescue her man, and she has a pretty good idea where he’s being held. With her best friend, Cissy, along to help, Myla sneaks off to Earth. All she has to do is blend in with the humans, avoid Evil Lincoln, and find her real man before the baby arrives. How hard can it be?

Perfect for listeners who love angels, devils, and demons but want a fresh take on their related fairy tales, myths, and legends. This series combines fierce females, paranormal romance, and urban/contemporary fantasy. Enjoy!

Love Myla

I really do just love this series. Myla and Lincoln are married and gonna have a baby. The problem is after having an amazing honeymoon, Lincoln is taken away and an imposter replaces him. Only issue here is Myla is the only one who realizes this. Myla, the 'fake king' has been telling everyone is bonkers because of the baby. Everyone believes him because a Scala having a baby is sure to make a woman crazy.

I adore how Myla is determined to get HER Lincoln back. It wasn't that she just wanted her husband back, though that was a big part of it. The Thrax needed their leader back instead of someone bent on their own agenda. I loved how her best friend stepped in and stepped up when Myla needed her. The author giving the characters their voices is an added bonus to a really good story :)

It was a 4/5 for me. Start from the first book and enjoy!

Thank you to the author/publisher for the review copy of this book. I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.

Book 4 in a fantastic supernatural action series!

“I’m not a clone.” The guy’s voice takes on a note of hysteria. “And I’m definitely not magically built to do Ethan Hunter’s bidding.”

I purse my lips. “That’s a rather specific set of things NOT to be, Felton.”

Myla has enjoyed the last three weeks, it is her honeymoon after all. But just when life is about to return to normal, Lincoln receives a letter that ends up spinning Myla's life on it's head. Again. When Myla wakes up, she knows something is not right with Lincoln...or at least the person who looks like Lincoln but who Myla is convinced is not Lincoln. Regardless of nobody believing her, she will get to the truth and save Lincoln. And Purgatory (and Antrum) know no fury like a pregnant Scala out to save her man.

The thing I found interesting about this book was that it kind of reminded me of the first book in the series, Angelbound, where Myla was basically on her own to solve problems and kick butt. The last two books Myla has been part of a team, but here she only had herself really. And sure, her situation is completely different, but overall this was all about Myla saving the world (again, cause she is awesome!) and kicking a lot of ass with her usual hot-headed reactions and plenty of sass. This is one girl you should not mess with and I am down with the girl power.

I think that regular pregnancies sound scary enough, but a supernatural pregnancy is terrifying on epic proportions. Myla knew the moment she was pregnant due to her little igni friends (and when I say moment, I mean like right after the act!) and now she is carrying a potentially super powerful baby who can be born whenever (there is no set timeline for supernatural pregnancies, the more powerful the baby the faster the pregnancy- which is terrifying to me). I guess (part) demon babies don't need to cook as long as human babies (Myla's mom was pregnant with her for 3 months).

The relationship dynamic between Lincoln and Myla is meltingly adorable- if I didn't love the two of them together so much I would say it is sickeningly sweet. The fact a single interaction with a Lincoln lookalike was enough for Myla to know it is not her Lincoln really says something about their relationship. I enjoy how they are such a team, be it in fighting, ruling, scheming or even just relationshiping (hey, I can make up words, shush!). Cissy was back and I didn't realize how much I missed her- she was a huge part of book 1 but only a minor character in the last 2, but the mischief she and Myla get into is epic- Best friends who always have your back I think should be a must in books. I really liked how Myla and her Igni have evolved and understand each other, but it was great that Xavier had the opportunity to have them talk to him at "triple screech level" to fully appreciate the challenges Myla has with her little friends.

As a side note, I have listened to the audiobooks for the first three books in the series and I absolutely loved them. This is actually the first book that I have literally read and I am so glad I had previously listened to Christina narrate her books because while I was reading this I could hear the characters voices and personalities that I have grown to love.

This is actually my second time reading this book, but this time I listened to the audiobook version which is narrated by the fabulous author Christina. Hands down, this time through it was even better! Christina is amazing at making the world come to life, giving her characters personality and attitude and I love it. I enjoy reading her books, but I love listening to her books the best. My favorite part was the voice of Iggy, the humanish manifestation of Myla's igni- he was way more entertaining in audio format than I found him when I read the book.

My little buddy pipes up. “Iggy helped.”

Lincoln’s gaze locks on Iggy. “Am I seeing things… or is that a kid in a Darth Vader costume?”
"No kid. Me Iggy.” Iggy lifts up his Dark Vader helmet for a moment and exposes his long face, bug eyes, and semi-glowing skin.

“Put that helmet back on the right way, Iggy.”

I also completely forgot the ridiculousness of all the situations that Myla get's herself put into- be it transporting through a kiln full of fire, rescuing her doctor from a demon while claiming she has morning sickness, holding hands with a slightly unhinged manifestation of her power dressed as Darth Vader while going into the lair of a bad guy...yeah, it is hard to top that last one, isn't it?

Overall this was another great addition to the Angelbound world and I am so happy that I have had the opportunity to experience this developed, unique, magical (demonic?) world and fall in love with these characters. I look forward to whatever mess Myla and Lincoln have to face next.

awesome series

am a huge fan of Christina Bauer. I love her books and audio books. Christina narrates her own audiobooks and I just love listening to her voice. She does an excellent job with all of the characters in the book.

Thrax is book 4 in her Angelbound Origins series. I have really enjoyed this series. I have listened to all 4 books in the series and cannot wait for book 5. I have really enjoyed following Mila from punk teenager to becoming the great Scalla, being Queen, and now a Wife and Mommy. I cannot wait to see where else Christina will take Mila. This is a great series. You do need to start with book 1 to get a true feel for the series.

In Thrax Mila and Lincoln are still on their honeymoon. Mila's igney have been screaming in her head so loud she cannot understand what message they are trying to get to her. Finally she hears "Man in the Mirror". Mila is not sure what this means.

Lincoln has been kidnapped and a clone has been left in his place. Everyone in the kingdom except Mila thinks it is the real Lincoln. It is up to Mila to travel to Earth and save Lincoln. When she arrives she realizes she will also be saving the under realm and earth as well.

I received this book from the Author for review purposes. The thoughts in this review are honest and my own.

I love this series!

It is such a privilege to listen to this far in the series. I feel the story getting better as it goes on. I know I have Thrax in ebook form, but listening in audio is always a completely different experience for me. Thrax follows Acca, where Myla and Lincoln are spending their honeymoon. But it's over and time to get back to work. The story is grasping and there were many times while listening in which I freaked out and was like "No way!"
I think Christina Bauer does an amazing job with narration. She reads her book the way she wants it to be read. To be heard. I was thoroughly invested in this book and I hope to listen to the next one as well. Though I might just read the ebook right now h cause I don't know if I can wait for audio. LOL

Way to go Myla!!!!

4.5 *s

Myla and Lincoln are back again! This story is fun, fast paced and a little bit of crazy. Haha, okay, so there was a lot of crazy. Talk about a wild ride.

A letter from a Thrax on earth starts an avalanche of events that send Myla in a mission to save her husband.

But it’s not hat easy, of course. There is a noticeable problem the moment Myla wakes and Lincoln is in bed with her. She saw him get taken. There is no way this is her husband. Things spice up and it’s up to Myla to find a way to escape, find Lincoln, the real Lincoln and get the events of life back in order.

Though, as we know when it’s dealing with Myla, Lincoln or anything to do with heaven or hell, it’s not that simple. It’s a race against time to get everything sorted, settled and the rightful people in place where they should be.

In the end, I’m left sniffling and ready for the next book. As always, Christina did a phenomenal job at not only writing the story, but telling it to us. The audiobooks make this already badass story, better.
