This newer edition of the King James Bible published in 1769 is usually preferred by most that read it over the older 1611 version. This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... Faith, Parenthood, and Authorship
This collection of poems walks through adoring conversations with the author's children, grapples with faith, and showcases poems from the author's historic fiction novels. I think the overall poems are lovely, I just wish they were organized by those categories. The first few poems are so widely different from each other, it was a jarring listen from one to the next. Overall, I can tell each of these were deeply meaningful to the author. Congrats on your poetry Nick!
The narrator, John, does a great job of animating the voices of different characters. The fist poem feels a little distant but by the third or fourth poem, I really enjoyed his narration style. He has such a warm voice!
