Resumen del Editor

As Lieutenant Joe Boyd and his partner, Hank Jensen, sort through the files, pondering which cold case homicide to work on next, an old fisherman shows up with something strange he pulled out of a pond hidden deep in the woods. This find opens a whole can of worms, refocusing Joe and Hank’s efforts in a totally new direction. A blue Camaro Z28 from the 80s, an antique camera from WW2, an old religious medal—among other things—become part of this unusual case. Joe and Hank seek to make sense of it all and piece together what happened in the days right after the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded in the sky. This triggers a renewed partnership of two unlikely killers, who’ll do anything to keep this investigation from exposing their secrets.

The way it all linked together

My husband and I both enjoyed the way the story all linked together-like a puzzle getting solved as we listened. Dan is an amazing writer and we look forward to many more books to come. Thank you Dan for the hours of entertainment always including our Lord:)

Good Story

Mr. Virtual Voice reads as well as some of the poorer readers I’ve listen to. And he seems to be improving. He needs to pay attention to words that have different pronunciations, based on what part of speech they are, or if they’re different tenses, and such. Somebody needs to listen to the finished product, because he keeps making the same mistakes from book to book. Three examples: The abbreviation for medical examiner is not pronounced “me”. It is pronounced “em-ee”. The past tense of read is pronounced red. Inflection is probably going to be more difficult, but if you really want the listener to enjoy the experience without having to wince periodically, this things should be addressed. Hearing these glitches pulls, at least this listener, out of the story. Even if it’s for just a few seconds, most of them are just unnecessary. I know these glitches could be fixed. Likely easily. They are good stories.

The storyline

Not a favor of virtual voice. Too many errors. There’s absolutely no emotion and it’s so monotone we can put you to sleep. The story line kept me listening.
