Acerca de esta escucha

Trip Harrington was at the top of his game when he won an Olympic gold medal. A decade later, he's still reliving his victory and sailing on the honor and expects everyone in his small town to feel the same way. Truth is, they don't.

His parents, especially, aren't so keen on having their lazy, unemployed, and narcissistic son living with them. So they send him for counseling. Trip takes his psychologist's advice and begins to chances. His inflated ego intact, Trip is sure he can snag the affection of his pretty neighbor, Rose, a local goat farmer, and prove to his family and doctor that he's still the hometown hero.

But things don't go exactly to plan. After their date goes awry, Rose wants nothing to do with him. Problem is, Trip is totally smitten.

Can Trip shed his entitled attitude to find true happiness?

Good Spirited. Read

This is a good spirited story with well defined characters making their way from delayed adolescence to adulthood. It's an interesting work of young adult fiction. I look forward to Andrew' Ralston ext work.

Love & Goats

Trip The Runner was a real surprise! It was the funny, fun, and romantic thing I needed right now.

A few weeks ago, I got the audiobook for Greasy Through The Sky. I had some problems with it. I had a problem with how it started off really slow, and then when the plot picked up, it became very aggressive and, at times, mean-spirited. Then a couple of weeks after finishing Greasy Through The Sky, I couldn’t get it out of my head. I decided to get another book by the same author, and I’m so glad I did! This book was a joy from beginning to end, and I was actually sad when it was over.

The audiobook itself is really, really great! The audio quality was outstanding, and the narrator did a fantastic job doing all the voices. At first, I thought it was odd that a woman was doing an audiobook where the main character was male. Yet, halfway through the first chapter, I discovered she was perfect for this. The way she narrated conversations between characters really help the comedic element of the book.

I highly recommend this and I would highly recommend the audiobook.

I know, like me, a lot of people out there are in a place where we need to get our mind off the problems around us and Trip The Runner is the perfect thing to help you do just that.

Trip the runner

This was a fun book.Trip once won a medal. He thinks he is a big deal and that this alone will define his life.He is conceited and horrid to people. Then he meets a girl. Harriett Hunt was an excellent narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Trip The Runner

Trip won a medal at the Olympics way back for running but he still thinks it will carry him through life, you know that five minutes of fame. Lately he has become unbearable to his parents and others. But when he goes on a date with the nicest, most wonderful girl in town and does nothing but insult and belittle her in front of the towns people at a local bar it is decided that Trip needs to do things on his own now and his parents packed him a suitcase and tough loved him right out of the house. Trip finds himself begging a local farmer for a place to stay and a job. Hopefully, the work on the farm will change Trip's attitude for the better.

This was a great book and a awesome audio-book narrated by Harriett Hunt. It is a wonderful, quick, funny at times read. Trip is just that kind of guy and to see if his life can change is a wonderful but sad and happy at times look at this spoiled rich kid life. But I think there is something hidden in there all of us could learn as well. Be kind because kindness has not been cancelled.

Tripped

Trip the Runner
By: Andrew Rolston

This is a sort of coming of age book, but instead of teens the characters are in their thirty's. Trip won an Olympic gold medal in his teens. He is a narcissist that

thinks the world revolves around him. He lives with his parents, doesn't work, and has no plan for his life. Rose lives with her father caring for their home, raising

goats and making and selling soap. After his father gives him an ultimatum Trip is forced to make a choice. Trip and Rose do not like each other much. And that is

where he story gets going. There is plenty of humor. I had fun listening to this book.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Harriett Hunt gave a nice performance.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A sweet and funny journey!

The main character reminded me of Ignaceous J Reilly. A narcissistic, aging athlete stuck in his glory days learns to grow up and become a better man through hard work. An important message pinned in the middle of the story: Achieving your goal is bittersweet; it leaves a man without purpose.
Highly recommended!

Small town boy and girl happy ending!

I received a copy of this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the author Andrew Rolston for the opportunity to listen to your story.

This book was such a pleasant surprise! What started out as a story about a lazy, narcissistic ex-athlete turned out as a sweet romantic success story. This was a quick and fun read with lovable characters. Trip and Rose were adorable and made my day.

Recommended for fans of stories with Happy endings, Romances and stories where the MC turns his life around.

Light listen

I received a free copy of this audio book and it was my first listen by this author. I was not sure what to expect. It was a quick, light listen. Uplifting story about a man who needed to grow up and he did. It makes one think about taking a look at their own self and make changes to be a better person. I feel like the phrase GOD DAMN was used too much but that just me.
