Dr. Tony Evan’s is a great leader and servant of the Lord. The message he provides in this book came into my life right when I most needed it. His sermons, Bible studies, and books are all founded on the principles we read in the Bible. Thank you, Dr. Evan’s for your faithfulness to God.

Reversing the Consequences of Life’s Sin

This is a marvelous book where Tony Evans speaks of the ills of the day and tells how, though faith in Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and God’s Word, we can refuse the sinful path which we take, letting the Lord mend us as we look to Him. I very much enjoy this book as it looks at specific strongholds - idolatry, addiction, anxiety, finance, discrimination, sexuality, demonism, and more - that we can be free from if we follow the Lord’s Will. So, while there are chapters that tell of things we feel we’ve not encountered, it’s best to read/listen and not skip over them. Besides, each chapter comes with many Bible verses, always a treasure.

Preston Butler III did a wonderful job of narrating this book. I stayed up late some nights reading along, so late that it was difficult to read sometimes. So, when I closed my eyes to listen to Dr. Evans’ work, it was precisely narrated.

I didn’t know this was part of a series of three books (Detours and Pathways, the other two). So, I’ll read/listen to those books, too, but this book can stand alone and still impart great wisdom!
