The prologue sets the stage for the coming events in this celebration of modern farm life. Family patriarch Dave Johnson leads a Godly life, but he was not always so reputable. Sixty years earlier he had unknowingly fathered a son. As a young man, Dave repents of his sexual misconduct, but then late in life and to Dave’s great surprise, he meets his adult son—a son who greatly blesses Dave’s family with a tremendous sacrifice.
In addition to this unintended complication, one of Dave’s grandson’s alcoholism places a dark cloud over the entire family. Dave is also heavily conflicted by a centuries-old tradition of passing down the family farm from father to son. This is memorable story that touches all hearts.
