Being in a relationship without knowing how to share your feelings and receive your partner’s feelings in useful ways is like jumping into a pool without knowing how to swim. You can flail around all you want, but it’s not going to keep you afloat for very long—you need to be able to move in any direction at will. Like swimming, knowing how to share your feelings and respond to your partner's feelings will move your relationship in the direction you want: toward more intimacy, closeness, connection, and trust.

The brain is a marvelous and complex organ that takes decades to fully mature, and no stage in that long process is more critical than the one we call the “toddler” years. During this period—from about one year old to three years old—a child transforms from a helpless infant into a running, chatting, insatiably curious little person with distinctive traits and interests. So, what is happening in the brain during this metamorphosis? How do humans acquire the motor, linguistic, and social skills that define this vital childhood period? Lise Eliot offers answers to these intriguing questions.

Historia
It’s not just you. Stress levels are at an all-time high—so much so that a recently convened panel of medical experts in the US has recommended that all adults under the age of 65 be screened for anxiety. In How to Release Anxiety, Gabby Bernstein offers simple, actionable steps for feeling better, living with more ease, and showing up for those around us. Gabby’s unusual advice: Rather than manage your anxiety, what if you befriended it? Gabby posits that what we befriend, we can ultimately be at ease with. So she invites us to get curious.

Based on seven years of ground-breaking research and hundreds of interviews, I Thought It Was Just Me shines a long-overdue light on an important truth: Our imperfections are what connect us to each other and to our humanity. Our vulnerabilities are not weaknesses; they are powerful reminders to keep our hearts and minds open to the reality that we're all in this together.

Sounds like very bad translation
I couldn’t keep listening. Bad AI translation. Almost like it was written in a foreign language.

seems like it was translated from another language
at times the wording and sentence structure is a bit odd. it seems as if it wasn't translated fully from another language so the words seem odd, for example "in the first location" instead of saying "in the first place". especially say the same thing but sounds odd to a native English speaker. seems odd that all reviewers before me put perfect reviews. seems fishy, audible.

a lot of spoken words that make this book
the author sounds dumb because the translation is terrible but if you can hear past that... there's some really great information!

Many good points… Sometimes hard to follow
The pronunciation was excellent, however the grammar was very confusing to follow at times. It was as if many adjectives were somehow replaced with less suitable words. Almost as if it had been translated from one language to another, and then back again. The pauses seemed out of place as well. Also, I’m not sure if constantly quoting an aggregate social news sight like bustle really adds to the validity of professional advice. Sometimes it seemed like a collection of quick to do items to help, without actually going into the items or techniques themselves. Unfortunately it ends up coming off as not having much structure and feels like fluffy fill material from internet searches.
