Resumen del Editor

It has been a little over a year since twelve-year-old Eleanor had an enchanting, unforgettable experience in the Togetherwood.

One day, while playing in the snow with her friend Liam, she receives a message summoning them back. This message tells of a dire situation in the Togetherwood that urgently requires their help. With pets Dax and Claire by their side, Eleanor and Liam return to a snowy, wintry Togetherwood full of animals both new and familiar. But along the way, unexpected challenges await them, ones that will even test the bonds they share with each other.

Will the warmth of their friendship be enough in this cold place?

Anderson has a knack for creating adventurous YA

School is cancelled and Eleanor and Liam are out innocently enjoying the snow when a message arrives, pulling them back into the Togetherwood with their trusty companions, Dax and Claire. After being stuck in the Loneliest Hollow, Liam is hesitant to go back to the Togetherwood, but at the behest of Eleanor and Sir Bradley van Bardsley the explorer from book one, “An Adventure Through the Togetherwood,” the four of them set off.

Like the first book, author Sean Anderson once again introduces readers to exciting new friends, creatures, and personalities within Togetherwood. From Walter the walrus to the band of penguins, Wanda the woolly mammoth, and Captain Nice-tide, the pirate narwhal, each character brings with them a spark of diverse personalities and a task Eleanor, Liam, and their furry sidekicks can assist with. Learning along the way about leadership, kindness, collaboration, and acceptance, Anderson ties together important themes with this fun adventure.

Sean Anderson grows on the first in this adventure series with this second book, “Warmth Comes to the Togetherwood,” as his characters develop in new ways. With each chapter once again offering a new learning opportunity, this book seamlessly progresses to its finale. Readers will once again love the ever positive and fun Dax the dog, as he’s balanced out by Claire the cat with their stereotypical dog and cat personalities. As we learn more about Liam, readers see him take more of a leading role in the Togetherwood as they face some of their toughest tests yet.

Anderson plays with a great mix of old favorites while giving us exciting new characters and animals to meet along the way as Eleanor and Dax, Liam and Claire find themselves pulled into the dire situation playing out in the Togetherwood. “Warmth Comes to the Togetherwood” uses tangible imagery to show readers the consequences of conflict in a world full of hatred in this ever necessary and ever relevant read. With lessons and crucial themes throughout, Anderson has a knack for creating adventurous YA tales.
