Resumen del Editor
A wonderful book for all ages that like magical adventures sailing the high seas with witches and wizards and mythical creatures as shipmates! A dramatic dystopian fantasy about a living ship who escapes a locked down quarantined port during the black plague to make her way to a great ship graveyard far north where she will transition to a different spiritual plane. The problem is, the whole world wants her dying timbers, and it seems they will stop at nothing to get them, dead or alive! Governments and bankers want her rare wood to increase their wealth and power. Alchemists, dark sorcerers, and necromancers want her very soul to make zombie boats out of her decaying hull. A powerful water wizard stands in their way and has allied himself with the ship and a secret society that is trying to create their own alternate economy as well as put an end to the injustices of the current regime. Two young boys get caught up in this sword and sorcery game of thrones, and one becomes a cabin boy and the other a navigator’s apprentice to help crew the enchanted wood ship called Helix.
This evolving magical mystery is about how a diverse variety of memorable and often times, humorous characters came together to take on the world. Dark wizards and a murderous pirates guild are the basis for the first book in the series.

Historia
Just yesterday, Ben was a petty criminal getting by on fleecing New York’s one-percenters. Today, he's got a new face, a new name, and a new world to navigate. And Ben’s thinking maybe this time around, he’ll use his skills at disarming and deceiving to help out people other than himself. Maybe. Watching a medieval City Guard fight off a 20-foot-tall ooze that crawled up from the sewers will make you think twice about life decisions.

Historia
In 1889, satirist Jerome K. Jerome fully intended to write a serious travel guide when he and his two best friends embarked on a boating trip up the river Thames to Oxford. But his musings on landmarks and local history were soon hijacked by his own digressive, waggish voice. And so, what began as a peaceful and edifying two-week exploration soon floated upriver into farce - aided, quite naturally, by a portly ration of cheese, some very bad weather, and a dog named Montmorency.

But Ylfing has been struggling to come to terms with what his master did, with the audiences he's been alienated from, and with the stories he can no longer trust himself to tell. That is, until Ylfing's employer finds out what he is, what he does, and what he knows.

Historia
This, the first in the splendid series of Jack Aubrey novels, establishes the friendship between Captain Aubrey, Royal Navy, and Stephen Maturin, ship's surgeon and intelligence agent, against the thrilling backdrop of the Napoleonic wars. Details of life aboard a man-of-war in Nelson's navy are faultlessly rendered: the conversational idiom of the officers in the ward room and the men on the lower deck, the food, the floggings, the mysteries of the wind and the rigging, and the road of broadsides as the great ships close in battle.
