Excellent!
Very well written. Loved this amazing story travelling with giraffe s across the country. I loved how the 17 year old boy and a woman with a desire to just spend their time seeing them safely to the zoo. It's definately a unique storyline! Hurray for the giraffe!

heart warming and sad
The road trip across the United States was heart warming, full of redemption, hope, dreams, and adventure. In contrast, the after story was sad and disappointing. I had tears in my eyes. Almost like two different authors put the story together.

A brilliant combination of dust-bowl history, giraffe-love, and what was happening in 1938 America in the context of pre-WWII. A lovely and well-written story, West with Giraffes captivates till the last page. Bravo!

Memorable story
This is one of the best books I’ve read in years. It will make you laugh, cry, and hope for a better future. Based on a true story this book takes you to the times of the great dust bowl and how a young man went west with two giraffes!
