Personal, Thorough, Riveting

This is the first book I have listened to that involved the voices of many actors. I found this quite interesting. Also, I enjoyed the broader coverage of all five landing beaches and intense firefights for bridges and other strategic locations.

Expansive story. Well told. Many primary sources & voices. Some I have not heard previously. Highly recommended.

Amazing Re-telling of the Story of D-Day!

If you are a history buff, or if your grandfather served in WWII or if you simply want to learn, then this is the book for you. No one book can tell each individual's story of his experience on that longest day. However, if you want to learn through the story of men who were there, this is the audiobook for you. If you've got a long drive ahead, this book will keep you company. I highly recommend Mr. Graff's book.

Amazing

Such an amazing book to find the week of the 80th anniversary. Listening to this one was something I glad I did. Many stories from the greatest generation who without we all might be in a different world today.

It was a different way to experience the story of DDay.

Well narrated and performed by the voice actors reading the letters and accounts. Took a little bit to get into and used to but worth it.

This audio version is simply fantastic. To hear the first hand accounts in so many different voices is nothing short of remarkable. I have gained a much deeper appreciation and understanding of the sacrifices made by all those involved with D-Day. The planning and preparation for this operation was something I had little knowledge of before this book. I highly recommend taking the time to listen about the greatest military operation in history. The author should be commended for an excellent book. Thank you.
