Faith and Doubt

This book was a memoir of faith, lost, nearly found again, lost and now in reach. There were many loving anecdotes about Catholicism. The author’s mom was the star of the book with the saints a distant second. The Brooklynite leapt off the page, she was so vividly drawn. In my lifetime I’ve only met a handful of truly good people. The mother was one of the few I’ve met in print. It was beautiful to see how the author’s antipathy to her mother’s innocence changed over time into heart stopping admiration. Delightful and insightful book.
