Loving this series!

Wow! This book is packed for of it all! Suspense, a budding company and a relationship that is about to finally come to fruition! Brantley and Reese have been taking it slow, but the bumps in the road that Reese keeps taking are halting their progress. Unable to wrap his head around the fact that he is falling for a man, Reese and Brantley are struggling with their attraction. But this does not keep them from taking on their first case. Lauren has been missing for nine years. Now another woman has gone missing with the same circumstances and these two are not going to stop until they find the answers. Will they get to her in time? Is it tied to Lauren's case? And we can't forget about JJ! This woman is full of spunk! Her days with Dante, are they numbered now that the handsome detective is helping out? Heat, steam, suspense, it's all there in this second book in the Off the Books series. Loving it so far and can't wait for the the third book!

Tor Thom and Charlie Ongel continue their fabulous narration of this series. I am loving the voices Thom is using for Brantley and Reese. The commanding alpha tones, the slight southern twang, all lead to a fantastic perception of these characters. Ongel adds to the fun with her take on JJ, full of spirit and wise cracks. Loving these two in this series!

Gripping

The second book in the latest series from Nicole Edwards and I simply could not put it down. I am so loving the direction she is going with this series; from the first to the last chapter, I was hooked.

This is Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis’s first official “Off The Books Task Force” case and it was a gripping read. Not only are they finding their way professionally, but they are in new territory personally as Reese struggles to come to terms with his attraction for Brantley.

As I have come to expect from a Nicole Edward’s book, particularly her MM stories, it was smoking hot, add in the suspense and I was on the edge of my seat for the majority of the book. You cannot help but become invested as Ms. Edwards wove so many twists and turns into the story.

Will the ease that they work so well together flow over to their private relationship or will Reese decide that he cannot commit to Brantley? You could feel the emotions as Reese continues on his journey of self discovery.


Narrated by Tor Thom and Charley Angel that did a fabulous job with their performance. From chapter one, I was hooked and couldn’t put it down, I simply had to know what was going to happen and this was expressed well by Tor and Charley’s emotional narration.

There is also a great deal of emotion within Brantley’s story as he and Reese embark on a journey of self discovery (mainly for Reese), some steamy MM scenes and of course the appearance of numerous Walkers and this was certainly captured by the narrators.
