Superb! Encourages creativity.
Full of empowerment, knowledge, and wisdom for every creative - not only musicians. But especially for whoever is beginning in this songwriting journey like me. Be a songwriter is a lifestyle, and Mateo shares this idea throughout the entire book. I'm practicing the exercises daily, and I can see a significant improvement in my writing. I'd say it's a must-read AND listen. The way the narrator performs the author's words is impeccable. I enjoyed the chapter about co-writing. Essential for the current music business and the way people make music nowadays.

Amazing! It's more than a songwriting book
This is about art and permitting yourself to create whatever you want to create. Mateo's great storytelling and James' narration are the perfect matches here. A motivating and helpful book not only for musicians but for any creative. I highly recommend it for beginners! I will certainly be listening to this again.
