  • It wasn't so much an epiphany. Instead, I had discovered my destiny. I was that five-year-old sidekick to South Africa's top cop. It was the mid 1970s and mu future had been decided.

    I was a homeschooled kid, but I spent my time on night shift patrol with my dad. I was hooked on the thrill of good, bad, and evil.
