  • In this episode I discuss findings from a chapter of my PhD research which looked at influences on the coach-created motivational environment.

    I discuss the challenges of coaching your own child, and implications for the quality of your coaching environment.

    Themes discussed include:

    - Hopes and fears for the parent-child relationship

    - Using your child as a coaching tool

    - Hypersensitivity as a parent-coach

    - Parenthood as coach education

    - Motivational theory as a means of understanding and directing coach behaviour
