There’s so much Highlander out there — five movies and six seasons of a TV show, plus a rumored reboot — and we all share what little we know of the franchise. We sort out: what is a Highlander, exactly? We admire the truly wild arrival of Sean Connery (as a man named Ramirez, from Egypt, naturally) and the movie’s steadfast refusal to explain its own plot or mythology. We discuss the end of the Paul Walter Hauser/Vin Diesel beef (although whether Vin Diesel even knew about it is unclear) before moving into the most prolific Running the VIN segment yet (by far) (with an interesting Suki-related post getting relegated to the next installment). A new Vin persona enters the chat. We come up with a new idea for the release of Fast X. We're joined by Brian "Late Night" Rodriguez (making a rare [?] "in front of the paywall" appearance), who bares his soul about High School Slumber Party and share's his self-proclaimed "sordid history" with this movie. We talk about Michael Cimino's idea for the film (before he was fired), compare this to Dirty Dancing and Flashdance, and talk about how Footloose is reminiscent of both Tokyo Drift and a Keanu Reeves hidden gem. We discuss what, exactly, is banned in this town, the wildest scene in the movie, and the best car-to-car transitions in the Fastiverse. We read an email that makes us think about Better Luck Tomorrow in a deep way, we wonder if Slap Jack is secretly wealthy, and we find that Spy Racers has infected another victim's mind.
