  • I read along with you today the Word of God from the First Book of Kings chapter 12 verses 25 through 33. The words of today’s Scripture passage are frequently dealt with as a topic of a sermon that we get to hear often, but in truth, so many Christians do not know very well the spiritual meaning hidden in this Word of God. And so, along with fellow workers at home and abroad, I wish to look into heretics, a wicked group, as shown in today’s Scripture passages.
    The outline of the passage we read today is as follows. Originally, a man named Jeroboam wasn’t a member of royalty. Because Solomon had sinned before God, Jeroboam became the king of Israel, and in order to defend his kingship, he made two golden calves and set them up in Bethel and Dan. Then, by telling the people of Israel, “Here are two calves of gold, gods which have guided you,” he had the people of Israel worship the idols, and in doing so, he had turned them into collective heretics.
