  • Today’s passage of Scripture we have just read together describes how Jacob listened to his mother’s advice, disguised himself with goat skin, and then approached his father and was blessed in his brother’s name. When some people read this passage they consider it strange that Isaac blessed Jacob and cursed Esau, saying that Jacob was an unscrupulous liar. In their eyes, people like Jacob are liars, while people like Esau are honest people.
