I (mostly) love this podcast

I regularly listen to this podcast but particularly enjoyed these latest episodes. The episodes about LeCarre’s London, for example, are of less interest to me.

I want to love LeCarre but confess to often feeling defeated by his work. It’s a knock on me, not him- perhaps I’m just not thoughtful enough to plumb the depths of his writing. So, these episodes were amazingly rich and helpful. I just re-watched the movie- a true gem- and had so many “aha” moments because of the insights offered here about plot, themes, etc. I hope to now re-read the book and will, no doubt, find it to be a much more enjoyable and fruitful experience. I would love to see a similar treatment of LeCarre’s other books. Well done, Sir!
