  • Duke Football ’24 | Diaz Stoking The Blue Devil Fires
    Jul 30 2024
After an exciting ride with Mike Elko at the helm Duke football found themselves in need of another defensive guru to lead the team. Manny Diaz not only has the defensive chops but also the experience as a head coach in the ACC. It remains to be seen if he can take the Blue Devils to new heights but as our Special Guest on ACC Nation, Conor O'Neill points out, there's plenty of motion going in the right direction. O'Neill, the Publisher of Devils Illustrated provides a broad view of where the team stands in 2024. As one might imagine there are some shortcomings, some question marks and also plenty to be excited about. Listen carefully in the preview to his thoughts and observations regarding Maalik Murphy, the transfer QB and what he brings to the the team. At 6'5" and 238 lbs. you might imagine Murphy (coming in from Texas) to be a running threat but his presence in the pocket adds an interesting dimension to Duke's offensive threats. • Kickoff | ACC Football ’24 Busting Out The Hot Sauce

With both the Georgia Tech and Stanford football previews available now the guys have Conor O'Neill (Duke), Andy Bitter (Virginia Tech), Emily Leiker (Syracuse) and Manny Navarro (Miami) already lined up for more. • Hot Knife | Stanford Gears Up For ACC Year 1
    Jul 17 2024
When a quarterback and wide receiver make a special connection it turns into a hot knife looking for butter. Stanford has that pairing in Ashton Daniels and Elic Ayomanor. We direct you to the Colorado game for reference. Coach Troy Taylor is in his second season and though the pantry is a bit bare a quick look at the Rivals recruiting charts from 2023 to 2025 says that won't always be the case. The first year in the ACC won't be a cakewalk for Stanford as they adjust to the new opponents, travel and somewhat nasty front half of the season's schedule. Explosive | Georgia Tech’s ’24 Offense Hot ‘N Ready Special guest, the publisher of CardinalSportsReport.com, Ben Parker joins Will and Jim to preview the Cardinal and look at the 30,000 foot view of the upcoming football season. Short term it's going to be a rough start. Long term, this is a team that will begin to work it's way up the pecking order if they're anything like the majority of the teams in their athletic department. Hot Knife What areas need improving? Is Coach Taylor moving the team in a direction that should excite fans? Parker shares his thoughts on the team and the schedule in this debut ACC football preview for the Stanford Cardinal. We did our best to pin Parker, a Cal grad, on who will take the Stanford-Cal Week 13 matchup and he delivered his best Muhammad Ali imitation. Coach Brent Key is in his second season at Georgia Tech and he's about to unleash an explosive offense on the conference. The first look belongs to Florida State as the two teams meet in Dublin for a Week Zero opener. The publisher of JacketsOnline, Kelly Quinlan joins Will and Jim to provide you with a preview of the coming football season. The Yellow Jackets are loaded up on offense with the likes of QB Haynes King who, if he takes that next step in developing will be a force to be reckoned with in the ACC. With a solid stable of running backs, wide receivers, tight ends and an experienced and deep line this team has the ability to lay some wood on opponents. ACC Meetings | Conor O’Neill’s Top 10 List Of Invitees Explosive The big question carries over from last year and that's exactly what Will and Kelly go into first. What about the defense? It wasn't an ideal season in '23 for the Ramblin' Wreck on that end of the ball but there's plenty to be encouraged over as an all new coaching staff, scheme, seasoned and healthy players fill the roster. Top 15 Most Annoying College Football Fanbases The recruiting numbers have picked up dramatically (Rivals recruiting from '23 through '25) for Georgia Tech. • Pack Double Toll On Tobacco Road In ’24
    Apr 2 2024
Tobacco Road begins and ends in Raleigh as the Pack place both men's and women's teams in the top tier of the NCAA Basketball Tournaments. NC State has delivered an amazing package of hoops for fans this season. Bang for the buck? Oh, you're into whipped cream territory now and keep your fingers crossed that a cherry of two are still in the works. You can certainly talk about the ACC men superseding expectations and in many ways the women in post-season action as well. The best thing coming out of this season, other than some fantastic basketball is serious conversation regarding how teams are rated and ranked. The system is flawed and needs yet another overhaul. It's not the only collegiate sport desperately in need of a tune-up. Pack Join Will and Jim on ACC Nation, available in podcast form (subscribe), on streaming radio and watch on YouTube. • NCAA Sweet 16 | Never Discount The Best
    Mar 28 2024
Now seriously, who would have seen the ACC owning 25% of the NCAA Men's Sweet 16? An easy and perhaps lazy approach would have presented North Carolina and Duke, but come on. Clemson and NC State? Hey, we're not complaining and neither should anyone who's a fan of an ACC team. This is the kind of thing that puts the wind back into the conference sails. Round The Bases With D1 Softball Special guest Jason Carmello of Big Underdog joins Will and Jim to talk about the First Round pounds, the second round stumbles and why some teams were improperly seeded. Yes, Carmello addresses Pitt and Virginia as well. Learn from the mistakes and build toward the future.
