*Beta-glucans-provides an immune boost (occurs in most if not all mushroom species.
*Polymer-A chemical compound or mixture of compounds formed by polymerization and consisting essentially of repeating structural units.
*Mycelium-the mass of interwoven filamentous hyphae that forms especially the vegetative portion of the thallus of a fungus and is often submerged in another body (as of soil or organic matter or the tissues of a host). Also: a similar mass of filaments formed by some bacteria (such as streptomyces).
*Pom- short for "pome fruit", which refers to a specific type of fruit that develops from an inferior ovary (below the rest of the flower) and has a fleshy exocarp (outer layer).
-Pome fruits are typically characterized by a central core containing seeds, surrounded by a thick, edible flesh.
