Like an informative loving chat with a bestie

We start the journey at Mel's 50th birthday. We're invited in to meet her friends, clink champagne glasses and sing happy birthday. Mel poses some questions about the changes happening around 50, and together with her best friend we all set off on a journey around the globe for a deep dive into how other cultures answer these questions, and how these solutions peice together in our changing lives.

In what feels like a personal conversation with a kind, warm and loving best friend, Mel explores how menopause impacts our lives, friendships, relationships, careers, beauty and body image, finances and our changing roles in our family's and society.

This audiobook is not what I was expecting. I assumed it would be something like The M Word, which is super informative and so useful, but this is a more about our lives, changes, challenges, friendships. Where The M Word is about the body and it's changes, Age Against The Machine is about the soul or spirit.

The M Word is about the body and Age Against The Machine is about the soul.

I feel you need to listen to both these book. In whatever order you feel best suits you.
