My guest today is international journalist and author Anke Richter, who is based in Christchurch, New Zealand.

In 2022, Harper-Collins published Anke’s important and bestselling book called CULT TRIP: Inside the World of Coercion and Control. According to Anke’s website: She spent over 10 years investigating how and why cults seduce, entrap, and destroy otherwise ordinary people, asking what the line is between tribe and cult; participant and perpetrator; seduction and sexual abuse.

In addition to being a journalist and bestselling author, Anke is a member and co-founder of F.A.C.T. Aotearoa, which stands for Fight Against Conspiracy Theories.

Anke is also the convenor and director of DECULT, the first cult awareness conference in New Zealand (see link below).
