It's the second season for the podcast, but the first distributed and supported by The New Classical FM and The Zoomer Podcast Network! To celebrate, Mark welcomes one of the most talked about names within the world of neoclassical music. Pianist and composer, Alexandra Stréliski. Her award-winning "Inscape" recording has topped the New Classical FM Top 20 Chart for the last year! The Montrealer speaks to Mark about growing up in Paris, writing soft piano music as an act of resistance, and how she reckons with the heartfelt responses she receives from her fans. She also looks back at her long and unexpected collaboration with Oscar nominee and Emmy & Golden Globe winner, Jean-Marc Vallée, included his HBO series "Big Little Lies" and his film "Dallas Buyers Club. And Alexandra reveals how a career in advertising and a difficult breakup almost derailed it all.
