    The completion of Phase One of the reordering of the Cathedral Church of St German in Peel was marked last Thursday morning by a Service of Thanksgiving in the presence of Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal.

    On today's programme, Cathedral Director of Music Dr Peter LItman, Mrs Ravina Talbot and the Dean of the Cathedral, the Very Rev'd Nigel Godfrey, share some thoughts on the story of the Cathedral so far, and on Thursday's special service.

    Rev'd Richard Littledale - author, broadcaster and teacher - has added another title to his extensive range of books. IN STEP WITH GOD was published last Friday and Richard joins us to tell us about it - and what's on his mind now!

    Island folk from different churches, denominations, and walks of Manx life, gathered with over 1,000 others in York Minster on 10th October, for the Ordination and Consecration of three new Bishops, one of whom was The Venerable Tricia Hillis - who is now the new Bishop of Sodor and Man.

    In this programme we bring you thoughts and reflections from some who were at the service (plus a couple of great hymns sung during the ceremony!)

    In this programme we return to Mountain View Innovation Centre, Ramsey - the home of The Postcode People - AFD Software - to take part in a live link with an aircraft factory in the United States, to take a first look at the new Cessna light aircraft that AFD Software have bought and donated to Mission Aviation Fellowship - the world's largest humanitarian air operator. AFD Software Director David Dorricott shares some thoughts on getting a first look at the Cessna - destined for work in Papua New Guinea, and explains what happens next ....

    We once again dip into the Keystones series presented by Rev'd David Bush, exploring the Island's churches and their history, in conversation with the clergy and parishioners of the time. The series was recorded and broadcast over 40 years ago - this week we're at the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea and St Maughold on Queen's Promenade in Ramsey where David chats with the then Parish Priest, Father Jim Lynch, and parishioner Mrs Kitty Richmond.

    This week's music includes a traditional harvest hymn, and familiar words to a different tune - from Graham Kendrick and Martin Smith - and the Notice Board is packed with harvest celebration information for next weekend - 5th and 6th October - and other things too!

  • At Your Service - it's the one about the Bishop, the Teacher, the Deacon and the Priest!

    Rt Rev'd Mark Davies is the Bishop of MIddleton in Manchester - he's also the Commissary Bishop appointed to take care of the Diocese of Sodor and Man until Bishop-Elect Tricia Hillas takes up her ministry on the Island in mid-November.

    In his capacity as Bishop of Sodor and Man, Bishop Mark was on the Island recently to ordain Rev'd Ian Quayle as Deacon, Rev'd Joanna Fisher as priest, and to confirm some members of Kirk Maughold.

    On today's programme, Bishop Mark talks about the significance of this busy weekend and we also hear from Rev'd Matt Allen, lecturer at Emmanuel College where Rev'd Ian and Rev'd Joanna have been studying, who preached the sermon at Rev'd Joanna's ordination.

    And there's music - and a packed notice board too!
