  • Solo Episode 3: Networking Like a Nomad
    Jun 23 2022

Welcome back to Not the Expert.  This episode is a solo episode all about networking like a nomad.  What the hell does that mean?  Well, I grew up moving all over the place and I had to learn to make fast friends and as I got older and started getting into business, I began using those skills in networking.  Basically, nomad networking is the faster version of networking.

First, I want to say a bit about what networking is.  Networking is all about building relationships.  It isn't selling even though selling is important.  Infact networking creates higher quality sales situations.

There are two parts to networking like a nomad. On is how to talk to strangers.  I know it can be sacary but I'll break how to take some of the pressure and fear away and give you the process for how to do it right.

The second part is about understanding and becoming a center of influence.  Centers of influence are those people who always know a person for something, and everyone seems to know them. They get to this place by giving tons of value to people all the time.  Not just in stuff but in actually giving a shit about people.

If you want to learn how to build a network that will take your business to the next level, then click play.

As promised here is the link to Elaine's episode where she talks about improvisation and so, so much more.

  • How to Spend Less Time on Marketing While Making More Money with Ruheene Jaura
    Jun 9 2022

Ruheene Jaura Is an automation specialist who sets up marketing systems and automations for business owners who value their time above all else.  In this episode, she teaches the strategy behind automation and why you need to be doing it. You'll learn how proper automation can add hours back to your day. So, click play and learn how to live the lifestyle that you dream of.

A lot of people think automation is a magic pill or magic button that you press once and you never have to go back to it, but that's not the case. But when done properly, automation can give you hours back in your day.

The Ruheene formula she uses for automation is BUTTR.

    Build, Test, Tweak and Repeat.

Start with your business and lifestyle goals then work backward to figure out what you need to automate. Then follow BUTTR

B: Build what you think it's going to work to give you the results you want.

T: Test it to see if it works the way you want it to.

T: Tweek it to make it better.

R: Repeat the process until you have it working the way you want.  Then check in regularly to make sure everything is working properly.

Ruheene Also teaches about the importance of Omnichannel marketing.  Omnichannel marketing is being on all of the platforms that your audience is on.  A lot of times this is considered to be incredibly overwhelming and isn't exactly recommended for people who are first starting, but she believes that by using proper automation that not only is this something you can do early on, but it's also incredibly important for the success of your business.  People aren’t on just one platform anymore and they need to see you in all the places they are for you to break through and most effectively catch their attention.

With proper scheduling and content repurposing this becomes very possible.

One interesting thing I learned is only a few percent of people will click the link in your bio when given that call to action.  Having people DM you a keyword to get the link works much better.
