    Our episode features Dr Kuldip Sandhu - Director of Innovative Quality Solutions. We chat about how companies have had to rapidly adapt due to the global pandemic. Essentially, how corporate leadership have empowered their employees  to both deliver and govern effective change.

    Dr Sandhu has also developed a global unique change simulator that is blended, combining online learning with facilitated collaborative learning. The simulator uses the principles of gamification. Gamification techniques are intended to leverage people's natural desires for socializing, learning, mastery, competition, achievement, status, self-expression, altruism,  closure or simply their response to the framing of a situation as game or play.

    A recent interview with the managing director of a leading investment banking group based in Switzerland (The Rothchild Group): Dr Jogishwar Singh shares insights into how he made the move from being a Scientist to a high respected Director and suggests ways to enter this competitive industry. We had an opportunity to learn about what inspires him and how the media portrays this market sector.  Dr Jogishwar Singh was born at Khanna (India) in 1951, he served in the IPS and IAS before leaving India in 1984, a year of cataclysmic events for Sikhs in India. He restarted his professional career from scratch in Switzerland where his previous experience as an IAS officer had no resonance at all. M.Sc (Hons School) in Physics, M.A. in History from Panjab University Chandigarh, Dr Singh did his D.E.S.S. at Sorbonne in Paris, followed by a PhD from Ruprecht-Karls University in Heidelberg, Germany. Dr Singh is fluent in eight languages and has basic knowledge of two others. A truly inspirational guest.

  • Season 3 : Episode 12 - Meeting the CEO of Multicultural Richmond (UK

    This week we met the CEO of Multicultural Richmond (UK) - Ravi Arora.

    The charity promotes a thriving, integrated and inclusive multicultural community in Richmond upon Thames and surrounding boroughs. Projects include: #health, #wellbeing, developing #digitalskills, enjoying the great outdoors and tackling inequality. 

    We spoke about the challenge of our current Covid times as many members enjoy face-to-face meet-ups et al.  New challenges are now being managed, for example: connecting online with members that have varied digital skills. In addition, we discussed the power of data to help campaign for better opportunities for the next generation of students.  

    It was great to hear about the CEO and his team that are developing and supporting people from all walks of life. Their mission says it all, 'to be the leading charity working to secure racial equality and inclusion in, and celebrate and strengthen the multicultural nature of, the Richmond upon Thames community and communities in surrounding London boroughs'.

  • Season 3 : Episode 10 - Meeting the Reverend Jesse Jackson

    A few years ago Dr Savvy had an opportunity to interview the Reverend Jesse Jackson. At the time Dr Savi was asked by a close friend of his, a CEO of a major UK housing trust to interview Jesse Jackson during Jesse's short stop over in London. Jesse Jackson is an American civil rights activist, Baptist minister, and politician. He was a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1984 and 1988 and served as a shadow U.S. Senator for the District of Columbia from 1991 to 1997. He is also the founder of the organizations that merged to form Rainbow Push. Rainbow Push is a nonprofit organization formed as a merger of two non-profit organizations: People United to Save Humanity. and the National Rainbow Coalition. Both organizations pursue social justice, civil rights and political activism. The recording took place just after the last stock market crash, with many losing their homes with the banks rushing to reclaim their loans to everyday people.
