    The double walking backwards

    Hesitant,

    A flickering smoky hand on a rusty wall,

    Tipped by an inky spot

    Where the whole closes its door.

    Skinned Can

    The skin, a boundary,

    Insulating me from the Other,

    Colors my identity,

    Soaring at stake,

    Entrusted in the rain,

    My only true bond,

    Or am I a transparent observer?

    A voter, blue?

    A breath, red?

    A partisan, white?

    A soldier, green?

    A motley Mockingbird?

    Ride along the reflection of the shop’s window

    As blissful as the mute
