Lesson Summary:

Mormon was a warrior and a general. He knew the pains of war and the power of studying the people who manage to stay valiant in it. This week, we’ll study the efforts of men like Captain Moroni and Helaman as they push back against the violent strategies of men like Zerahemnah, Amalickiah, and Ammoron. Studying their strategies and the Lord’s patterns of deliverance will help equip us for the battles of our day.

Questions to Consider:

Alma 44:17 | When is anger justified? How does Moroni channel it constructively? Are there stories in the Savior’s life that help you understand how to control this emotion rather than be controlled by it?

Alma 49:6-9 | Why do you think the Lord works in “curious” ways to conquer physical and spiritual enemies? Does this story teach you anything impactful about the Restoration?

Alma 47:7-18 | What important differences do you see between the story of Nehemiah rebuilding the wall and Lehonti coming down from his stronghold? How can we apply Nehemiah’s tactics to our day?
