Examine your life today. What seeds are you planting? Are you showing mercy or practicing cruelty? Are you defending the vulnerable or exploiting them? Are you lifting the oppressed or adding to their burden? Because whatever you're sowing, you will reap. It's not if—it's when.

When a family member is struggling with addiction, you intervene. When a coworker is being mistreated, you speak up. When a church member is falling away, you reach out. When injustice unfolds in your community, you act. When someone's reputation is being destroyed, you defend them. You don't look the other way and justify your silence.

Have you betrayed family? Have you harmed those you should protect? Have you celebrated when a brother or sister fell? Repent now. Make it right. Because the same God who judged Edom forever still judges family betrayal severely.

We must be taking the time to share how God delivered you. That is your testimony—not how smart you were, how hard you worked, or how talented you are. Your testimony is how God met you in your weakness, how He provided when you had nothing, how He healed what was broken, how He restored what was lost.

As we study Obadiah together, we'll be challenged to examine our own hearts for pride, our own actions for betrayal, and our own silence in the face of injustice. May we be people who humble ourselves before God, who defend rather than betray our brothers and sisters, and who actively oppose evil rather than passively observe it.

God isn't asking you to feel guilty for being blessed. He's asking you to stay engaged with those who aren't. He's warning that comfort can breed indifference, and indifference is spiritual death. Stay alert. Stay compassionate. Stay engaged. Your purpose is bigger than your comfort.
