  • There is a quote from a Pastor Allen Jackson that has stuck with me ever since I heard it. He says, "If you're going to have strength you should expect a little resistance." Many who profess to be Christian think our life should be one of smooth sailing. We should not expect much in the way of persecution for our following of CHRIST. But what we find out ids the Christian life, if it is in pursuit of following CHRIST, will result in challenges often to difficult for us to handle on our own.

    5 “If you have run with footmen and they have tired you out,
    Then how can you compete with horses?
    If you fall down in a land of peace,
    How will you do in the thicket of the Jordan?
    6 “For even your brothers and the household of your father,
    Even they have dealt treacherously with you,
    Even they have cried aloud after you.
    Do not believe them, although they may say nice things to you.”

    If we desire to follow CHRIST in a holy manner we must expect to have gradually more and more difficulties. Join in and find out why and how we meet these challenges.
