In this episode, Uncle Russ Saunders shares both painful and powerful stories of his early childhood on Purfleet mission, his memories of Gathang Language speaker Uncle Eddie Lobban and yarns about the early days of the Gathang Language revitalisation movement. This episode reminds us of the violence our people experienced, the rules that prohibited our Language and the courage of our Old People who kept Gathang alive in secret spaces, until they could teach our babies again.
**Also featured on this episode - Gathang nouns - some names for animals and different parts of Country.**
