  • Episode 104. Current True Crime Stories: Jose Cortez, Murad Dervish, and Joseph Schexnider

    For today’s episode, we are discussing current true crime cases that we are keeping up with. Thank you for joining us today and for your continued support while we get back on schedule.

    1. Jose Cortez, 39, was arrested in the Mexican city of Iztacalco, after raping and murdering a 17-year-old. After further investigation, he was found to be a serial killer, and named by some as the Mexican Jeffrey Dahmer.
    2. Murad Dervish was arrested after shooting and killing Thomas Meixner outside his office at the University of Arizona. Murad had been previously expelled from university where he was a graduate student.
    3. The remains that were found in a chimney in 2011 were finally Identified as that of 26-year-old marine, Joseph Schexnider, who disappeared in 1984.
