Calling all good silent people with Jill YoungHusband

  • Resumen

  • Soul Power to the people interviews Jill YoungHusband on the impact and Legacy of Canadian Truckers Freedom Convoy. Calling all good silent people: Why you should take heed and answer the call. And yes it's a difficult decision, and even more difficult to take a stand. But it's worth it! In the end, you have to do what is the right thing for you that feels in highest alignment with your Soul.

About our guest: Born in Rivers, Manitoba, Jill was raised in a military family and grew up in various locations across Canada. Her formative years were spent in Ottawa, Ontario where in 1983 she joined the Canadian Forces Primary Reserve and then went on to join the Canadian Forces Regular Component in 1988.

Over the years Jill's military career took her to various countries and continents. Serving overseas provided an invaluable opportunity to learn more about Canada's military history. After visiting many Canadian battlefields and war cemeteries, Jill developed a deeper appreciation of the sacrifices and courage of the brave men and women of Canada's military, who sacrificed for our rights and freedoms.

In 2000, Jill retired from the military and was inspired to pursue her passion for music. Jill auditioned for the Grant MacEwan University Music Diploma Program where she graduated in April 2002 with a Diploma in Vocal Performance. In 2003, Jill recorded her first full length CD entitled "Wings of Peace – A Tribute to the Canadian Soldier", and over the years has collaborated on a variety of commemorative musical recordings and performances.

After retiring from the Canadian Forces, Jill was employed as an administrator and program coordinator at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Medicine, Department of Music and The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Center.

Fully retired since 2018, advocacy is now Jill’s passion. She has volunteered with the Canadian Walk for Veterans, Quilts of Valour Canada, Mefloquine Awareness Canada, and is currently in talks to work with the Veteran Association Food Bank. In addition to this, Jill has been an active participant at various Freedom Rallies in Canada, and recently volunteered as a Campaign Manager for the 2021 Canadian Federal Election for the People’s Party of Canada, the only party that is standing up in the fight for Canadians’ rights and freedoms, whose four founding principles are: Freedom, Responsibility, Fairness and Respect.

Jill now lives in Edmonton, Alberta with her beloved Springer Spaniel Willow and enjoys personal/spiritual development, health and wellness, cooking, and as always...music.
