  • Let us first turn to Ephesians 5:31-32 here: “‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.” That a man should leave his parents and become one flesh joined with his wife is the Word that reveals the mystery about the relationship between Christ and His Church.
    Marriage is the union of a man and a woman into one body. The Bible says that for someone to leave his parents and become one with Jesus Christ, he must believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. We believe that we are made God’s children and the people of His Kingdom by believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. God’s Church is “Ekklesia” in Greek, meaning the gathering of those whom God called from the world.
