  • In this first podcast episode, author C.M.Chambers reviews the novel Divergent by Veronica Roth. Set in a dystopian society where people are divided into factions based on their virtues, the story follows Beatrice Prior as she discovers she is Divergent and doesn't fit into any one group. Tris, as she renames herself, joins the Dauntless faction and uncovers a sinister plot that threatens everyone she loves. The podcast will also delve into the creative process behind Chambers' own adventure novel, Blade of Glass and Bone, and include a narration of its first few chapters.

    In this first episode we’re going to review the book Divergent. It’s the first book in the Divergent book series by Veronica Roth, who is one of my favorite authors. The book was a huge hit with over 30 million books sold globally. I thought it would be cool to start off the podcast with Divergent because 2024 marks the 10 year anniversary of the movie Divergent debut, back in 2014.

    In section two of the podcast, I’ll give you behind the scenes information on how I wrote the first book in my Blade of Glass book series entitled, Blade of Glass and Bone. I will talk about the creative process of writing and publishing an adventure novel and everything that goes along with it.

    Then we’ll finish up each episode by listening to a narration of a few chapters of my novel Blade of Glass and Bone. We will start at chapter one and work our way through the entire book over the next few months.
