Then the cew decides to break down one of systems that seems to have gone by the waysside pondering if it will even make it into the new edition. The alignment system. Some players use it as a crutch while others forget it even exist until the oppurtunity arrises to use one of the most hated phrases in all of DnD; "It is what my character would do!". Finally, can you conterspell the Wild Magic Surge from Wild Magic Sorcerers? Just because the Pirate Captain's favortie Game Designer says you can does that mean you should be able to? The crew are back at it tryinng to figure out what makes them different from other channels. They are not famous, they aren't Publishers, to really call them a crew might be laughable. They are just players across the table from you. Once they figure that out they decide to take a look at some of the lesser played classes in #dungeonsanddragons and how #baldersgate3 helped them to become relevant. Was it because the classes were always good or is there a factor that only BG3 can pull off. What about having a party without a healer? Is there a way it can be done or is it just a lost cause. A writer put togethera few ways to do this and the crew look to figure out if it would work. Finally is the bell tolling for #wotc? • WotC Panders to the Wrong Crowd
    Oct 28 2023
What do marketing strategies, data analysis, and fireball have in common? They can make an absolute mess of things! In this episode, the Crew tackles a minefield of topics ranging from the newest addition to the D&D lore, the problems with over-selling the inclusive nature of your product, and finally getting on with the live reaction to the latest playtest survey! Do Wizard's strategies hold any weight on what players actually want? Is the introduction of the first canonical autistic character to D&D lore inclusion or merely pandering? And is Loc actually a multiversal entity hellbent on destroying the fabric of reality by endlessly toying with the Pirate Captain's nerves and sanity until he ultimately concocts a method of total rending of space-time and deploys it in an effort to finally rid himself of the nightmares and voices caused by the bard's baleful bickering? Probably not, but at least there's a new episode of Chef Bolgg and the Pirate Captain's Recipes for Everything!
