Something just happened exactly like we said it would last November when the State Department designated “Antifa-linked groups” in Europe as Foreign Terrorist Organizations. We said it would come back home and be used as a pretext to silence, delegitimize, debunk, and prosecute us or anyone else who challenges the oligarchic power that controls the state.

We also discuss the State Departments “Cuba Report,” which has a two-fold purpose: to delegitimize progressives of all stripes as part of a hostile foreign influence network, cut back on freedom of speech and of the press, and to justify the expansion of the national security state. The other purpose is to justify regime change in Cuba with the prospect of direct military intervention. This entire document is a confounding slurry of distorted history and absurd conspiracy theories. It is meant to gin up and invent the reality of enemies within and without while asserting that all of these enemies are connected. However, we know the truth.

Imperialism is a primary contradiction, so let’s talk about it because no one is addressing the veteran angle in a critical way . Platner's defenders have been using his self-celebrated service record and the combat PTSD excuse in order to explain away bad behavior, alcohol abuse, and a failure to come to terms with the true cost of the Global War on Terror. I think if some of us were more politically disciplined a bunch of people would not have been side-swiped by this recent credible allegations.
It’s just me today for this episode, everyone else is on summer break so I’m stuck having to talk about Platner, about what military service truly means in all its violence and why I currently do not trust a single veteran in office or a single one who is running, and why placing your faith in singular movement leaders to usher in the revolution and turn the electoral college and this whole franchise around is never going to cut it. We might talk about Cesar Chavez, since it’s somewhat apropos.

We are not the tolerant left, and we finally need to talk about how influencers in the Palestine Movement support the ideology of White Christian Nationalism, tokenizing Palestinian identity in order to avoid accountability for inherently violent and racist beliefs. Some of you may know who they are, though we're not calling anyone out specifically at this time.
