  • In this episode I talk to my colleague Suad Yusuf who is a Community Navigator . We discuss what their role entails, the pragmatic support their role offers, the referral process, what is community living well, social prescription, the duty of the council in housing, what is a housing register, and the paperwork difficulties of service users. [https://forms.gle/9uDkjxqVT5yp2FRn7] About the QI Project This Quality Improvement project is led by Dr. Hassan Mallick MRCPsych, a psychiatry specialist in training at the Central and North West London NHS Trust. The project aims to enhance the wellbeing of trainees transitioning into CNWL CMHTs by providing a flexible, accessible, and contextual learning tool. This project will offer peer-support, normalize vulnerability, and disseminate information that may not be available in handbooks and induction kits. Additionally, this initiative may provide valuable insights into the work of health professionals for the general public. About the Host: Dr.Hassan Mallick MRCPsych aka Nirvana Principle are a London-based psychiatrist, broadcaster and electronic musician. They use creative social awareness projects to upholds the ideals of social justice, equality and the right to live a life free from suffering.
