Courtney Bouchet, Athlete Spotlight

  • Resumen

  • Courtney is a postdoctoral fellow studying neuroscience at Colorado State University, but she fell in love with running long before studying how exercise affects the brain. She ran track and cross country in high school and college, attending the University of Colorado. At CU she ran cross country and track, focusing on the steeplechase outdoors and 3k indoors, clocking times of 10:30 and 9:30, respectively. After taking a few years off post-collegiately, she re-discovered a love for running while pursuing her PhD at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. She and her husband, Jeff, moved back to Colorado in the fall of 2022 and have been enjoying the trails and the people of Fort Collins' running community. Since then, she started coaching middle school cross country at Kinard and discovered a passion for helping to foster a positive association with running at a young age and giving back to the sport that has given her so much over the years.
