Will Shindler, whose latest crime novel "The Killing Choice" is Sunday Times Crime Book of the Month; one of The Times Best Crime Novels of 2021; The Sunday Times Crime Club Book of the Week; and one of the Observers thrillers of the month, talks with Creative Specialists Alex Dalton and Colin Savage.

Will has been a Broadcast Journalist for the BBC for over twenty-five years, spending a decade working in television drama as a scriptwriter on Born and Bred, The Bill and Doctors.  You can currently find him every weekday on the radio reading the news headlines, whilst writing crime novels in the afternoon. Will has previously worked as a television presenter for HTV, a sports reporter for BBC Radio Five Live, and one of the stadium presenters at the London Olympics.  His debut novel, The Burning Men, was published by Hodder in February 2020.

Will shares his thoughts on finding your own voice, having confidence in your own ideas and stealing from everything to provide you with ideas, characters and stimulus.   It's a fascinating story of a Sports Journalist turned top Crime Novelist.

  • 1. The boy who cycled to Swindon library for Mozart | West End Musical Director Greg Arrowsmith
    Apr 8 2021

Musical Director Greg Arrowsmith, who has conducted many of the biggest shows in the West End - Hairspray, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the Olivier award-winning Dick Whittington (London Palladium) to name but a few; orchestrated many shows including The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Club Tropicana,  A Chorus Line and albums for some of the world's biggest stars like Petula Clark; and composed countless scores for film, theatre and special performance, talks with Creative Specialists Alex Dalton and Colin Savage.

Greg shares his thoughts on creative boundaries, freeing your mind of all other influences so you can be truly original , and gaining the confidence to stand back and leave ideas well alone.   Something Alex and Colin find very difficult!

It's a fascinating story of a boy who used to cycle to the local library to borrow Mozart LPs to a chicken-whispering West End Musical Director, top of the game.
